I enrolled my two daughters in Taekwando just to keep them busy. Master Jesse teaches a wonderful class. He includes several calisthenics to build endurance and muscle while he makes the techniques practical for every day life. He also has a variety of equipment so it's never a dull class and every day is different. There are children of different ages, but he is able to control the class well. It's not only highly disciplined, but he makes it so fun the kids really don't notice how hard they are working, but they break into a sweat!
The best part about the class is he always supports my parenting by making sure the children remember discipline in the dojang has to match the same discipline at home. I've noticed my girls work harder to keep their rooms clean, they listen to me better than ever and the best part is how they learn about respect, respect for each other, respect for shared spaces, and respect for elders. My children look forward to earning their next belt!

My daughter has been learning taekwondo here for about a year now, and she is making wonderful progress all while having fun. She is being taught many useful skills that help with basic self defense along with lots of actual taekwondo techniques. Master Jesse is able to control and teach a class very well, he not only teaches them taekwondo but also discipline, assuring that they are well behaved both in class and at home. My daughter loves her class and she has worked hard to go from a white to a purple belt. The actual gym itself is always kept very clean and is very well equipped yet organized at all times. It’s a great environment for all of the kids, my daughter has made great friends through her classes. We hope that she can learn so much more through taekwondo and we recommend these classes to anyone!

Through these classes, he has learned lots of valuable taekwondo skills and also respect. Even when he feels discouraged at times, Master Jesse is able to patiently push his forward into learning. The gym is also a great environment to learn in, it is always very well kept. We highly recommend.

My daughter has been learning Taekwondo here for more than 1 year. I kept practicing 6 days a week and made rapid progress. She especially likes Master, who is both strict and patient with children, and his teaching is very strict but also very interesting. My daughter wants to take Taekwondo classes every day! Now he is a blue belt, and the gym often takes the children to participate in competitions. The children are becoming more and more perseverant and confident!

Martial arts not only teaches your kids discipline, focus, and respect, but also provides an opportunity to step away from screens and get exercise. Most importantly, your child won't view it as "work"—they'll have so much fun that they won't even realize they're learning valuable life lessons while staying active.
Kids learn discipline and respect both inside and outside the dojo at Resilient Martial Arts. They'll acquire important life skills such as respect, confidence, and emotional resilience without even realizing it, allowing you to witness real change, as many of our parents have.
Children enrolled at Resilient Martial Arts spend significantly less time glued to screens, as classes naturally replace idle hours with active, rewarding movement. Parents notice their kids voluntarily choose practice over video games once they experience the pride of personal achievement.
Our classes provide kids with a structured, supportive community of peers working toward shared goals. Our students naturally step into leadership roles, mentoring newer students and even leading class activities—developing invaluable social confidence, teamwork abilities, and leadership skills that last a lifetime.

Our Tiny Tigers program introduces children to the joy of control over movement. Through fun activities, we help young athletes improve balance and body awareness.
Using soft equipment, we focus on games that keep exercise enjoyable while building key motor skills. At this stage, we keep things playful—no combat or sparring.
Designed for kids and teens, our Youth Taekwondo program teaches traditional Taekwondo techniques, self-defense, and valuable life skills.
With guidance from experienced instructors, students train safely using appropriate equipment. For advanced students, supervised light-contact sparring builds confidence and improves technique.
Beginners and younger students practice no-contact sparring to ensure safety.
Whether you're a beginner or returning to martial arts, our Adult Taekwondo program offers traditional training with a focus on fitness and self-defense.
Under expert guidance, you’ll practice stretching, learn taekwondo techniques, and build strength in a supportive environment.
For experienced students, contact sparring provides a chance to hone your skills.
We also offer Private Lessons available for all ages. This is a great option if you want your child to learn 1-on-1 with Master Jesse Smith.

No! It's quite the opposite. When your child learns martial arts, they're taught self control and high respect for the techniques. In fact, many studies have looked into whether martial arts makes kids more aggressive - a meta‑analysis of 12 studies found that traditional martial‑arts training reduces rather than increases aggression in 11 of 12 cohorts. Martial arts helps kids with aggressive, it doesn't encourage it.
We recommend 2-3 classes per week.
You can take an UNLIMITED number of classes per week as long as they are within your age group.
Not at all. Beginner classes start with fundamental movements that build coordination and flexibility over time, so natural athleticism is a plus, but definitely not a requirement.
We take out students to local tournaments and everyone is encouraged to come, but it's never required. Many children train for fitness and focus only.
Just bring yourself, water, and comfortable clothes to be active in! We'll provide the other necessary things.
